Project introduction
FemmeVibe Space is a live community platform. Its sign-in experience establishes a bold, energetic identity: a coral floral mark, a soft grey-blue canvas, and near-black type, signalling vibrancy and connection.
The problem
Observed problem: online communities for women often default to either chaotic social feeds or rigid forums, so members struggle to find their people without drowning in noise. Hypothesis: organising the feed by chosen spaces rather than a single algorithmic stream would reduce noise and increase belonging. This framing reflects analysis of the product's intent, not formal user research.
Discovery and research
Available evidence: the live application's sign-in experience and brand system. No formal research, competitive analysis, or usability test reports have been provided.
Proposed: 5 to 8 interviews with target members; a competitive review of 3 to 5 community platforms; a usability test of onboarding, space discovery, and posting with 5 to 8 participants.
Design rationale (no formal research documented): the system pairs energy with structure, organising the feed by chosen spaces to give members control and reduce noise, and limiting reactions to keep the tone supportive. Onboarding prioritises space discoverability so the community never feels like an undifferentiated scroll.
User personas

Maya
New member, 27"I want to find my people without the noise."
Maya left other platforms due to chaos and negativity. Illustrative persona.
- · Find relevant spaces
- · Have supportive conversations
- · Avoid doomscrolling
- · Algorithmic feeds
- · Toxic comment culture
Jordan
Active member, 33"I am here for real connection."
Jordan wants deeper group interaction and to lead a space. Illustrative persona.
- · Lead a space
- · Build deeper connections
- · Keep it positive
- · Shallow engagement
- · Disorganised groups
User journey map
Illustrative journey map, reconstructed from the intended product flow.
A member joins, picks spaces that match their interests, and lands on a curated feed combining those spaces, then posts, reacts, joins smaller groups, and builds a profile. Reconstructed from the intended product flow.

Design decisions and trade-offs
Problem: chaotic feeds drown out belonging. Decision: organise the feed by chosen spaces rather than a single algorithmic stream, and limit reactions to keep the tone supportive. Implementation: coral floral mark, grey-blue canvas, near-black type. Expected effect: member control and lower noise. Trade-off: a space-based feed is less serendipitous than a single stream, accepted to prioritise relevance and safety.
Product demonstration
TaskJoin, pick spaces, and post
- 01
Sign in and pick a few spaces.
- 02
Land on the curated feed for those spaces.
- 03
Open a space and share a post.
- 04
React and join a smaller group.
Outcomes and reflection
- 01
Sign-in and authentication (visible in the live app)
- 02
Onboarding and space selection
- 03
Curated feed
- 01
Case study is based on the public sign-in experience; a full feature audit of the live app is pending.
- 02
No formal usability testing documented.
- 03
Deeper community features require verification against the live app.
- 01
Run the proposed research plan.
- 02
Validate space-discoverability with new members.
- 03
Add accessible alternatives to reaction-only feedback.
The core bet is structure over serendipity: giving members control of their feed through spaces. The risk is reduced discovery, which only testing can quantify.
